This bedroom went from OK to total relaxation!

The room had a nice look, it was comfortable and mostly functional but the homeowners wanted a change and a place to read. After a discussion about their needs, colors, their preferences for birds, their future possibly in the south and their budget for this project a cohesive and relaxing room was created specifically for them. 

As the room had been painted recently we decided to work with those colors. However the aqua blue accent wall was toned down with a faux finish. They love it. Their needs were met with better lighting for reading. A bit of whimsy was added with a few tropical birds. The style of the room will easily move south with them when such time arrives.  Oh, and the budget, the husband was quite pleased with the expenses and the results.

Now when they retire to read or for a night’s sleep they do so in an atmosphere of total relaxation.
