Pulling it all together
This homeowner had two rooms, two beautiful oriental rugs
and a blank slate. While the rugs are not related in color or in
style she wanted to use a monochromatic color scheme to draw them
together. Unfortunately, she didn’t know how to proceed after that.
No problem! I found a fabulous fabric for window treatments that
accented the oriental rugs. She fell in love with the fabric and
that became the basis of our color scheme.
The rest of the room came together in a tag team sort of
fashion; the client would shop for the furniture (to save expenses)
then she would bring me in before purchasing an item for my
professional eye of approval. Some pieces worked, some did not
but eventually it all came together. Other pieces such as the
chandelier and chairs around the glass table were my finds that were
seemingly custom made just for her!
